Oligonucleotides

Short DNA sequences of up to 1000 nucleotides

Oligonucleotides are small chains of DNA that can be produced synthetically. They are useful for many important molecular genetic techniques. They may be used as probes for hybridisation or as primers for PCR (polymerase chain reaction).
