Anther
Anther The anther and the filament together form the stamen, the male part of a flower. The filament carries the anther and varies in length from one flower to the next. This ensures that the anther is in the right position to come into contact with pollinating insects. In most flowering plants, the anthers consist of two chambers, each containing two pollen sacs. This is where the pollen ripens.
